SkillsUSA is the premier student leadership organization in the country with over 300,000 members nationwide. North Carolina is proud to be a strong component of the national organization and is one of the original states chartered in 1965 when the organization was started as VICA.
We offer many activities to enrich our students, advisors, and professional members throughout the year. The activities include professional and leadership development conferences, competitions that measure both technical and employability skills, and opportunities for scholarships, employment, and networking.

Remembering Mike Bolton
1949-2012
SkillsUSA remembers a true Champion, Mr. Mike Bolton. Mr. Bolton served as the Chairman of our Board of Directors for over 12 years and changed the lives of thousands of students through his involvement in SkillsUSA. Mr. Mike Bolton will be missed, but his legacy will live on through the impact he has made in SkillsUSA and every other organization he was involved in. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
A service celebrating Mike's life will be held at Pullen Memorial Baptist Church at 2:00 pm on Thursday April 26, 2012. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday April 25, 2012 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Raleigh, NC.
