HAVE YOU MADE PLANS FOR SkillsUSA WEEK ??
It's not too early to start making plans with your students to showcase the many aspects of Leadership and Student Success that are so noteworthy with your students. Whether your students are showing their leadership through various local activities, preparing for regional/state competitions, developing projects in the classroom, or doing some other extraordinary item, THIS is the perfect time to showcase EVERYONE'S SkillsUSA and classroom activities and successes.
We encourage you to plan activities to follow the daily schedule of events that will be celebrated in chapters nationwide:
Monday, is Appreciation Day. Plan an event to celebrate and honor the support of advisors, teachers and administrators.
Tuesday, is Advocacy Day. Plan local or state public relations activities including presentations to legislators, school board members, administrators and community group leaders.
Wednesday, is Member Outreach Day. Involve members in the recruitment of middle and elementary school students into your CTE programs, or plan appreciation activities that honor current members.
Thursday, is SkillsUSA Serves Day. Rally around your community by focusing on a day of giving through service projects or fundraisers.
Friday, is SkillsUSA Day. Celebrate SkillsUSA by wearing your favorite SkillsUSA shirt, planning a celebration and posting the event to social media.
Plan now to celebrate all that you and your students do. And most important, SHOW OFF those accomplishments of your students to your administrators, school board, and your community.
Post to Social Media !!
